Sometimes days or even an entire week goes by before I finally take a breath and when I do, I realize all too often that I’ve started to feel like my hubby and I are living two separate lives! In all the hustle and chaos of life, we lose focus and forget to take even a minute to find each other and the reasons we fell in love in the first place. Usually, date night is the perfect opportunity for us to reconnect but even that only happens once a week. Since The Dating Divas are all about strengthening marriages every day of the week, we decided to put together a super quick and super easy way to help spouses reconnect in just one, tiny minute. Now, there’s just no excuse. Everyone can find time to help their marriage if it only takes sixty seconds!

You might be wondering how anyone can really connect in just a minute, but we think that if you put every ounce of energy into that minute, you can make huge waves! Of course, that doesn’t mean you should quit your weekly date nights, stop writing thoughtful love notes, or forget about giving them sweet gifts, but at least you can use these super simple ideas to bridge the gaps in the day-to-day craziness!
To help you make this one minute of focus ridiculously easy {and fun}, Carisa from Messes to Memories helped us create the most adorable idea cards. I mean, seriously?! I’m just loving the fun, geometric patterns! This way, you won’t even have to think of how to reconnect, just spend your minute with your love!
These little idea cards fit perfectly on jumbo craft sticks, I just used a bit of mod-podge to keep them on and now they’re nice and sturdy. If you don’t have any craft sticks lying around though (or you’re not feeling particularly crafty), you can just print them on some heavy-duty card stock and call it done!
Pop those suckers into a mason jar and you’ll have a go-to set of ways to reconnect in one minute or less! The ideas span the love languages, so you can feel connected no matter how you feel love. It’s a great way to mix things up!
You can pull one out of the jar first thing in the morning to help you wake up with positivity or as you’re rushing out the door as a way to recenter and calm yourselves before the day begins.
You might want to choose an idea at the end of the day as things begin to settle and you want to come back together with your spouse before you head to bed. It doesn’t matter when you choose to reconnect, just that you do it. Make it a routine and you’ll see what a difference it can make.
