1st Base: Print off these sporty free printables that our talented Diva Stephanie created for you. Give him the invitation the day before so that he can brag to all his buddies about how he will be watching the World Series with his amazing wife the next day.
2nd Base: Cut out the Baseball Trivia mitt and the ten trivia balls. Make a pocket out of the glove and put the trivia balls inside. When the commercials come on, take turns pulling out these skill-testing questions. You can make it even a little more fun by exchanging ‘rewards’ for correct answers… like a back or foot rub!
3rd Base: Pick out a tasty game night snack that you know your husband will love. If you want to stick with the baseball theme, go for hotdogs, popcorn, peanuts, soda pop – pretty much anything full of fat, sugar, and salt. A special treat that I like to make for my husband is pizza on the grill. Just remember that when you are planning a date at home, you may have more ‘help’ than you need, so plan your menu accordingly. (As you can see I had a great little helper, note the chubby little fingers pawing for some pepperoni…) Home Run: Put your kids to bed, turn on the game, and cozy up on the couch. Here’s the key to this date being extra-successful… are you ready for it?? You need to sit and watch the game, the whole thing, if you don’t understand something, ask questions and let your husband impress you with his baseball knowledge. Dugout Extras: There are a ton of really cool baseball clips online that give you some fun background info. This one shows you how baseballs are made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfPuRoStEdw and check this one out to learn about the special mud that is rubbed on every ball before the big game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-elLnUeF2ro&feature=related . Hope you have a great time enjoying the game with your #1 Man!
